WIESENBETT BELGIUM

Updated: Apr 3, 2019

sponsored experience with Wiesenbett

Mama started talking to the owners of Wiesenbett, and they gave us a list of farms that they needed to be photographed. For this trip, we narrowed down the farm choices to Belgium. Papa took one look at the map showing the all the locations of the farms, and picked the Hoeve den Overdraght farm in between Poperinge and Vleteren, Belgium. You see, Papa is a really big beer fan. And, not just any #beer. He loves #belgianbeer. Was it by coincidence that the farm was a short bike ride away from three of his favorite Belgian breweries.

“We should call that mean chicken "Chicken Nugget". Because if he chases me one more time, we're going to turn him into a chicken nugget.” Lukas (7 years old at the time)

Once again, we had a great time at the farm. While the farm had some cows, this was primarily a sheep farm. We learned all about sheep and spinning wool to make yarn. A special night at Wiesenbett farms is pizza night. The farmer's family makes dough and sauce, but you get to pick your own toppings and make your own pizza in a wood fired brick oven. We met a family from France, and became the best of friends jumping on the trampoline.
